My name is Tom O'Connor.  I am a licensed and insured home inspector.  Please allow me to assist you, your family, or associates,  in navigating through the property evaluation process.  It is an exciting milestone to purchase property.  It can also, however, be challenging and stressful in making such an important choice.  That is the point where I would like to make the experience for you a positive one.

Your choice to engage a home inspector is a wise one. 

A home inspection is a visual inspection of the readily accessible systems and components of the property. It serves to examine the functional use of the property.  I encourage you to be present for the inspection.  I will be more than happy to answer your questions and explain my observations during the inspection.

I will go through a thorough checklist of the property that serves as the basis of the final report.  I will present you my report electronically or in print, whichever you prefer.  I serve only the client that retains my services.  I will only offer copies of the report to those parties you expressly authorize me to.  

Please also know that a written retainer agreement must be signed prior to the start of the inspection.  This is required by law. I recommend you review the retainer agreement in adavance of the inspection so you may ask any questions with regard to the agreement and do not feel any pressure to sign the agreement at the time of the inspection.
